Why Tube-Fin for this thickness? When upgrading to a core this thick, airflow to the radiator becomes a critical concern. SPELAB's engineered Tube-Fin design allows for a massive cooling core without creating an "air wall." It cools the intake charge air dramatically due to the increased surface area, yet its aerodynamic structure allows ambient air to flow through the core to keep your engine coolant temperatures in the safe zone.

A: That is exactly why we used a Tube-Fin design. The structure is designed to be "permeable," allowing air to pass through to the radiator even at this thickness. It provides the cooling capacity of a large core without the airflow restriction of a dense block.

Q: Is this an OEM replacement or a performance upgrade?
A: It is a Performance Upgrade. The 106mm core is substantially thicker than stock, providing better cooling capacity, while the all-aluminum construction adds reliability.

Q: Why is this better than the stock unit?
